Standard Warranty: GoodWe inverters have a 5-year standard warranty by default.

Extended Warranty: For inverters manufactured after September 1, 2024, an additional 5-year warranty is available at no extra cost, provided the inverter is connected to the GoodWe monitoring system (SEMS) and installed by a certified GoodWe Plus+ integrator.

Fronius

 

Standard Warranty: Fronius inverters come with a 5-year Fronius Warranty Plus, covering material, labor, and transport costs.

Extended Warranty: By registering the inverter on Fronius Solar's website within 24 months of installation, the warranty can be extended to a total of 10 years at no additional cost. 

JA Solar Panels

 

Product Warranty: JA Solar panels come with a product warranty that typically spans 10-12 years, assuring that the solar panels are free from manufacturing defects.

Performance Warranty: JA Solar also provides a performance warranty, usually lasting 25 years, ensuring that the panels will produce a specified percentage of their rated power output over time.

 Yes. In Western Australia, most grid-connected solar systems require approval from Western Power before installation. We handle the application and ensure your system meets all local network and safety requirements. 

 Standard grid-connected solar systems shut down during a blackout for safety reasons. If you want power during outages, you’ll need a battery system with backup capability or a hybrid inverter designed for blackout protection. 

 Yes. Most systems are eligible for the Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which reduce the upfront cost of solar. Additional state-based incentives may be available depending on system size and eligibility. electricity during the day. If you use appliances during this time, they are powered by solar energy instead of drawing from the grid, therefore reducing your electricity costs.

Exporting Excess Power: If your panels generate more electricity than you use during the day, the excess is exported to the grid. You receive a small credit of 0.07cents per unit on your bill for this exported energy, known as a feed-in tariff.

Night-time Usage: At night, when the panels are not generating electricity, you’ll use grid power. However, the savings from daytime solar use and feed-in tariffs offset these costs.

Yes! It all comes down to calculations of how your much your system will cost and how much you will be saving. The key is to use your energy whilst your solar is producing power, which intern will result in a quicker payback period. The payback period measures the time required for the money you save on electricity bills through solar energy to equal the upfront cost of purchasing and installing the system. It’s calculated by dividing the total system cost by the annual savings.
